Export Agent (Air) — JFK Team
Location: Springfield Gardens, NY (On-site)
Employment Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm (Some OT as needed)
Compensation: $55,000–$65,000 annually + benefits

What you’ll do
- Coordinate international air export shipments from booking through final departure; open and manage files in CargoWise (willing to train)
- Serve as primary point of contact for customers, carriers, and customs brokers; proactively communicate status and resolve issues.
- Prepare and audit export documentation (commercial invoices, HAWB/MAWB, bills of lading), ensure compliance with Incoterms and regulatory requirements.
- Calculate and verify charges, ensure accurate billing, and close files on time.
- Troubleshoot customs holds/delays and coordinate with relevant parties to expedite release.
What you’ll bring
- Experience: 3+ years preferred (air export focus).
- Systems: 1–2 years working in CargoWise preferred.
- Knowledge: Working familiarity with Incoterms, air carrier processes, and export documentation (REQUIRED)
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Strengths: Clear written/verbal communication, attention to detail, and strong organization in a fast-moving environment.
